Traffic signal
Traffic officer point-duty signals
SS1
- Where
- At intersections, accident scenes, or where the normal traffic signals aren't working.
- Purpose
- To direct traffic in areas of high congestion, at the scene of an accident, or where traffic signals are not operational.
- Action
- Driver must focus on the signals given by the officer and strictly follow them - these take precedence over any other traffic signal. Stop signals halt traffic from the front, the rear, or both; go/proceed signals indicate the driver may proceed.
